"I would like to thank Areta for being compassionate while maintaining professionalism. She has extensive knowledge and made a complex process easy to navigate. She was always available to answer my queries in a timely manner. I highly recommend her!"
Areta practices estates, trusts and capacity litigation and maintains a niche in health law. She has experience with elder health law including medical assistance in dying; and she is an advocate for prospective parents and surrogates in the area of assisted reproductive technology.
In her litigation practice, Areta helps de-escalate conflict, so that clients can focus on their health and family. When situations escalate, Areta is a strong, capable advocate.
She is known for her ability to communicate well across cultural lines and for being attuned to others. This aptitude was honed in her previous career in media and communications, which took her to Asia and New York City. Throughout her career, Areta has always provided big picture analysis and strategic advice, and resourceful and realistic solutions.
Areta’s approach and advice was spot-on. She was responsive through the entire litigation, which really shows her dedication to her clients. I felt confident that I was in capable hands.
Areta is legal correspondent for the Alzheimer caregiver website ALZlive.com, her column sponsored by the Alzheimer’s Society of Toronto.
