Alison DennisFamily Law
“Alison is a remarkable lawyer and has been invaluable through my divorce. She is extremely organized, well spoken and puts enormous amounts of care and effort into her work. Her strategies are focused on the client’s best interests and she ensures that you are fully educated on processes, expectations and possible outcomes.”
Alison’s practice encompasses all areas of family law including complex property and support issues, parenting disputes, separation agreements, marriage contracts, and cohabitation agreements. She also has significant experience with jurisdictional and mobility issues.
Alison is an experienced litigator who is cognizant of the financial and emotional cost of high conflict, protracted litigation. She is an advocate of alternative dispute resolution, however she does not hesitate to use the court system when necessary.
Alison was able to analyse and understand both the personal and business financial information and find many irregularities and errors. Her findings were crucial for me winning the case. I knew that things were wrong and needed her help to prove it. Not only did she untangle the mess that the other lawyer did, she solved my problem relatively quickly and was able to present my case to the judge successfully.
Alison has successful relationships with her clients because they know their case is a priority for her. Alison works hard to ensure that her client’s needs are met in a practical, timely, and efficient manner.
Alison has been practicing family law since she was called to the Ontario Bar in 2012. She practiced at a leading boutique firm in Toronto for nearly nine years before joining Dickson Appell LLP in 2021.
