Biography

I advise clients on many aspects of family life. I help couples plan for their future, facilitate starting their families, and represent individuals going through a separation. I also assist clients by providing legal coaching and consulting to those who are taking the lead in their negotiations or litigation.

Because I help families in all of these stages, I have wide-ranging family law expertise. All of my clients benefit from well-rounded, creative, and experienced legal advice. I listen to your goals and concerns, suggest possible outcomes, and develop a plan to move forward. When plans stall or unanticipated issues arise, I troubleshoot to find solutions with your input. My objective is to reach your goals in the most efficient and effective way possible.

Katelynn patiently explained procedural and legal matters to me in detail and made the experience so much better. She took the time to intimately familiarize herself with the details of my case and was always available and responsive when I needed her.

Prior to joining Dickson Appell LLP, I practiced family law at two boutique firms in Toronto. I have written articles for various family law publications. I chaired the board of a local community organization supporting families and offered legal services through a number of access to justice organizations.
